What excites you about being part of TRIO SSS?
TRIO SSS offers an incredible opportunity for students to receive extra support to confidently reach their academic goals. I am excited to help launch this program and to work closely with our amazing students! Building meaningful connections with students as they plan and navigate their college journey is extremely rewarding, and I鈥檓 honored to be part of their success stories.
How can TRIO positively impact students/student success?
TRIO has the potential to make a profound impact on students and their long-term success. Through individualized case management, students will receive guidance in visualizing their goals and mapping out the steps to achieve them. TRIO supports students by clarifying their next steps while also offering opportunities for exposure to four-year college transfer options and customized workshops on financial literacy, scholarship applications, self-care, and other topics that will be identified by the students themselves. In addition, TRIO students will have access to a dedicated space designed just for them where they can receive tutoring, study, or relax between classes.
What are the top three things you want students to know about TRIO?
What do you enjoy doing outside of work? What space or activity brings you joy?
I鈥檓 a busy mom of two, so much of my time is spent at dance classes or at the skatepark. I love reading, camping, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. I also enjoy traveling, and I was recently fortunate to spend a week exploring Belize. A few places on my travel bucket list are Peru, the Netherlands, and Glacier National Park.
