John Grant, associate vice president of Student Affairs at 冈本视频 (冈本视频) has been honored with the Annabelle E. Wolf Outstanding Service in College Student Personnel Award from the .
The annual award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the college student personnel profession, both at their home institution and to the broader student personnel community.
鈥淭hroughout his career, John has exemplified creativity and innovation in student affairs practice,鈥 said 冈本视频 Provost Jennifer Flatt. 鈥淗is work has transformed student support structures at 冈本视频 and influenced institutions nationwide.鈥
In his 22 years with the College, Grant has served as a counselor, director of Student Support Services, and dean of Student Development before transitioning into his current role. He designed and built 冈本视频鈥檚 first academic advising model, establishing a foundation that has served thousands of students for the past two decades. He has also been instrumental in implementing innovations to support student academic success, including the Starfish early alert system, predictive analytics tools, and holistic coaching.
As Student Affairs associate vice president, Grant is responsible for ensuring strategic alignment of student support services, student conduct, guided pathways, retention strategies, and other collegewide initiatives that directly influence student experience and outcomes. He is a member of the President鈥檚 Extended Cabinet, advising the College president on strategy, policy, and campus-wide initiatives.
Grant鈥檚 service extends far beyond 冈本视频. He serves as a part-time holistic student success coach for the national nonprofit organization , sharing his expertise to help other community colleges strengthen student support and institutional change efforts.
