冈本视频 is hosting another virtual Artificial Intelligence (AI) Bootcamp session on Saturday, October 31, 2020.
 
Sixteen high school students (grades 9 – 12) from around the country are taking part in the boot camp hosted by 冈本视频 which aims to teach artificial-intelligence skills at no cost to students across the country.
 
“It is essential to start finding and training our next generation of high-tech, skilled workers,” 冈本视频 College of Business Associate Dean Sue Zittlow said.

The College, with its strong Microsoft Partnership, is one of five locations from around the United Stated selected by the Mark Cuban Foundation to host the Saturday boot camps which started October 24 and run till November 14. The events are being held virtually this year due to COVID-19.

This interactive boot camp, taught by 冈本视频 College of Business, Trades and Engineering Technology instructors and IT staff, teach students about four branches of AI: chatbots, machine learning, computer vision and natural language processing.

“AI is a part of our everyday lives and it’s not just computers,” Zitlow said. “AI is integrated into many of the systems we use on a daily basis. AI is also part of Industry 4.0 with technologies built into many systems to help automate some decision-making elements. An example of AI includes self-driving cars.”

The Mark Cuban Foundation created the AI Bootcamps Initiative in 2019 to teach  the fundamentals of  AI and the systems behind it to any student with an interest in technology.
