42-816-406 BASIC RIDER COURSE 2 (BRC 2) ...for riders who already possess basic riding skills and are either returning to riding or are seeking a refresher course to practice and renew basic riding skills. The course includes approximately three hours of classroom and five hours of on-cycle riding exercises.

Course Details:Ìý

  • For riders with basic skills, returning to riding, or needing a refresher.Ìý

  • Location: 4975 Glendale Ave, Green Bay, WI 54313.Ìý

Requirements:Ìý

  • Bring your own licensed motorcycle, proof of registration, and insurance.Ìý

  • No temporary permit is needed.Ìý

Outcome:Ìý

  • Receive a waiver for your Class M license upon successful completion.Ìý

Ìý1. Motorcycle Waiver & Under 18 Ìý

  • Review the Motorcycle Safety Course Waiver & Indemnification form: Waiver Form.Ìý

  • Sign the form in class with your instructor.Ìý

  • If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the form before you attend class.Ìý

Forms are available:Ìý

  • In the Public Safety office, room CC102.Ìý

  • Must be signed in front of a Public Safety staff member or notary.Ìý

2. Motorcycle Requirement CourseÌý

  • Complete the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) e-course within 30 days before your class starts.Ìý

  • Your class includes a free registration link for the MSF e-course.Ìý

  • Use the link to create your MSF account and get the discount.Ìý

After Signing Up:Ìý

  • ¸Ô±¾ÊÓÆµ will send you a unique course link via email within approximately 30 days of the class start date, or sooner, depending on your registration date and when the class begins.Ìý

3. Attendance:Ìý

  • Full attendance is mandatory (¸Ô±¾ÊÓÆµ, Wisconsin DOT, and Motorcycle Safety Foundation requirement).Ìý

Dropping the Class:Ìý

  • Log into your student account to drop or Contact Enrollment Services at 920-498-5444.Ìý

  • Drop before the start date to avoid full payment of class fees.Ìý3.

4. Motorcycle Proof of Enrollment

  • No DOT temporary permit needed to enroll or attend.Ìý

  • Under 18 or renewing a permit for the third time? You need proof of enrollment.Ìý

  • Get proof on ¸Ô±¾ÊÓÆµ letterhead after enrolling and paying by calling the ¸Ô±¾ÊÓÆµ Traffic Safety Office at 920-498-5526 or 1-800-422-6982, ext. 5526.Ìý

5. Motorcycle – Gear RequirementsÌý

  • Wear long non-flare pants, made of denim or equivalent, or more durable material. No exposed skin. Long sleeve shirt or jacket, sturdy shoes/boots that cover ankles, full-fingered gloves, eye protection, and a DOT-approved helmet are also required. Ìý

  • ¸Ô±¾ÊÓÆµ has a limited supply of helmets, gloves, and eye protection for student use during class.Ìý
